A small dream for the past three years has finally come true… Everyone needs to dream of something they really want and just go for it. Dreams never die. I have fulfilled my dream this past October, I dreamed about opening my own bead store and I did it with the help of my husband Charles… He is my heart, my soul mate and friend, if it wasn't for him, just maybe this would not have come true.
Bead it etc is featuring:
A large selection of Swarovski Crystals, Pearls, Toho beads, Delica seedbeads, Fire polished crystals, semi-precious stones, Brazilian Agates, and much more: including books, tools and supplies for beaders.
I became interested in beading in 2000, my husband took me and a friend to the Tacoma Glass Museum and that was it. I wanted to know how they did it… So I went looking for a glass blowing studio… and found one in Seattle… I took a six week course on how to take melted glass and shape it into bowls, vases, dishes and ornaments. I could not stop there; I went on a mission looking for other studios that taught jewelry making, lampworking and metal-smithing. Even today, I still take classes to learn new techniques so I can pass them on to my customers and friends. One thing I found out about beading - it is sooo relaxing.
My store is in the Charleston building, Bremerton, Washington. Did you know that Charleston was one of the town's names. I just recently found this out. The city has so many things to offer antique shops, art galleries, museums and much more. Bead it etc., is in between Amy's Chocolate's and Kim's Puppy Love. Two terrific people, what a trio chocolate, beads and puppy grooming, what a combination we are.
Classes have already begun and the girls are having a great time. I have two terrific instructors and they both have their own unique talent. With our busy lives it is hard to get the house work, laundry and feeding the family in between beading. One thing about me I like to think ahead, we schedule our classes every two months so that way, we can maybe squeeze the family in.
